Land Application Training
Land Application Updates

Producer Training Requirements

Title 130 requires that an authorized representative shall attend an approved land application training within 180 days of receiving their permit for the first time.  Additional training is required every five years. For additional information, view the following link on Title 130. http://cnmp.unl.edu/certified.html

There are no LAT training dates planned in the near future. If you need certification, use one of the alternative methods at this site: Options for obtaining land application training…

Land Application Training

Land Application Training is provided by the University of Nebraska CNMP team to provide a learning opportunity for livestock producers that have a NPDES permit and have not completed a certification course in the past.

Who Should Attend:
Producers who have a NPDES permit and have not attended Land Application Training in the past.

Land Application Updates

An update program has been developed to allow producers an opportunity to learn about emerging issues and other manure management techniques that may have changed since their last Land Application Training.

Who Should Attend:

  • Producers who have a NPDES permit and have attended the Land Application Training in the past 5 years but need to be re-certified following the renewal of their NPDES permit.
  • Farm staff and advisors implementing farm’s permit or nutrient plan are welcome and encouraged to attend, but not required.  Consider making this workshop part of your farm staff’s training.
  • Recently permitted operations that have not completed the initial Land Application Training are welcome to attend, but attendance of LAT Updates will not count toward initial certification.
